报告人简介:Akshya Swain is an associate professor of Electrical, Computer and Software Engineering at the University of Auckland. His research advances nonlinear system identification, control, and intelligent optimization, with applications in power and energy systems. He leads the Applied Control and System Identification group and is known for impactful contributions bridging theory and engineering practice.
题目1:Evolution of Control Systems - The Journey to Model-Based Control
报告摘要:This lecture surveys the historical evolution of control theory—from classical PID/frequency-domain methods through modern, optimal, robust, adaptive, MPC, and data-driven control—arguing that control design has progressively become model-based to handle MIMO systems, optimality, uncertainty, constraints, and complexity, culminating in today’s hybrid model- and data-driven approaches.
题目2:Data Driven Modeling
报告摘要:This lecture presents the principles and methods of data-driven system identification, showing how to build predictive mathematical models of dynamic systems directly from input–output data using linear, nonlinear, and state-space modeling techniques, along with guidelines for experiment design and model validation.
